Christy O Harris is a Somatic Educator and Teacher of The Alexander Technique. In 2025, she founded Studio Treehouse- a place to inquire within and explore our human movement potential. Her teaching methodology is characterized by anatomical mapping, hands-on guidance with verbal cues, repetition, refined simplicity, and spontaneous discovery and response.

Christy received a Master of Fine Arts in Dance & Somatics from University of Colorado at Boulder, and served as adjunct faculty in the Movement Studies department at Naropa University and CU-Boulder from 1998-2008 until relocating to Kauai, Hawaii. She received certification from the American Society for the Alexander Technique in 1998, after completing a 3 year, 1500 hour training at Alexander Technique Institute in Boulder CO — from the lineage of Patrick Macdonald.

A dedicated student of Rinzai Zen meditation and Yang style Tai Chi, she completed  yoga certifications in 2016 and 2023, and has developed a somatic approach to yoga and restorative stretching. Christy maintains a private practice teaching Alexander Technique in Honolulu, HI and offers weekly group classes at the Studio Treehouse.
